Our Mission
The Urban Youth Initiative's Eruditus Academia is an instructional program structured to provide schools in and around The Bronx with high quality special education and related services support that fulfill individual educational program (IEP) mandates. The UYI is a New York City Department of Education vendor, authorized to provide schools with SETSS, or Special Education Teacher Support Services. This service is at no cost to the partnering school. Our role as a Partner-School's SETSS provider will increase staffing flexibility, whereby, helping improve effective human capitalization. Moreover, The UYI will improve a Partner-School's ability to expand special education offerings to the community they serve. Finally, our commitment to the schools we are in partnership with extends far beyond the placement of our Providers. The UYI aspires to ensure that our team of teachers will be equipped with the necessary resources to ensure their optimal success whilst working in tandem with our Partner-Schools.

Edmodo
Edmodo is our educational social network which allows us to interact with all of our teachers, students, and families.In addition to seamless communicating Edmodo allows our teachers to assign and grade work, granting parents access to the classroom. Students can even get help from their entire class while on Edmodo.
G Suite
Eruditus Academia uses a plethora of technology to help create a seamless blended learning environment. With G Suite for Education, we are able to help our educators create opportunities for learning, streamline administrative tasks, and challenge their students to think critically—all without disrupting current workflows.
Staff Portals
SharePoint is a document management and collaboration tool. Eruditus Academia uses SharePoint for many of our Microsoft resources. It's basically an intranet and content management system that is used for internal purposes to assist with bringing an organization together. Our teachers are able to maintain protected information via our SharePoint folder.
